Forest Glen Construction Company is a full service design and home remodeling firm located in Evanston, Illinois. We serve the North Shore communities of Chicago and pride ourselves in seamlessly matching our work to the architectural style of each neighborhood and individual home.
Our Design Process
Step One: Discover
Building with Forest Glen Construction begins with a complimentary design consultation, allowing us to get to know you, understand the needs of your family, and learn why you are considering taking on a remodeling project. We will discuss your ideas for the remodel and provide suggestions based on your home, the available space, and your projected budget.
Step Two: Design
During your Schematic Design Meeting, we’ll review floor plans, renderings and the proposed scope of work – which includes the estimated budget.
At this meeting we will discuss various materials and selections, often we suggest that you visit our preferred showrooms to see materials and options.
Our designers focus on creativity, sustainability, and context. During this meeting, we’ll narrow down the scope of work to make sure the project fits your design goals and budget.
Step Three: Develop
Once we have finalized the general scope and project costs, we draw the architectural plans needed for permitting and construction execution.
When the final plans gain your approval, we submit them to the village for permit. The permit process generally takes between four and six weeks.
While we wait for the permit, you will work closely with our designer to select all of the materials needed for your project. Design Development Meetings at this time will allow you to refine every detail and see updated pricing based on your product selections.
Step Four: Deliver
When we receive the permit, our project manager will contact you to discuss the particulars of your job, determine construction access, and address any concerns you might have regarding construction.
Forest Glen Construction works with customers as transparently as possible, because we believe good communication is as important as quality workmanship.
Our construction process focuses on minimizing disruption to your life and respecting your home. Your lead craftsman is at your home every workday until your project is complete, ensuring areas that are not being remodeled are protected and that your project stays on time and on budget.
Step Five: Enjoy!
Upon completing each project, Forest Glen Construction will leave your newly remodeled home broom clean and ready for your family to use the space.
